Milan Linate

Milan Linate Airport is the airport nearest to the city center.

Where is the airport located?

Getting to Milano Linate Airport is very easy: it's conveniently reachable by car, taxi, and public transportation, being the closest airport to Milan.

How to get to the airport?

You will find all the information you need in the below table, by clicking on the appropriate tab.

You can reach Linate from Milan in a few minutes thanks to the first section of the new M4 metro line, the Blue Line.

With the Blue Line it is possible to reach the airport in 12 minutes from Piazza San Babila, with intermediate stops at Tricolore, Dateo, Susa, Argonne, Stazione Forlanini, and Repetti. From 12 October 2024, the M4 will reach all of Milan, from east to west, extending its routes to the new terminus of San Cristoforo FS.

Thanks to the interchange with the M1 line at San Babila, it is possible to reach all parts of the city. Meanwhile, with the railway link at the Dateo and Forlanini stops, Linate is also accessible by train, integrating into the regional railway network. The ticket costs 2.20 euros and can be purchased from the machines at the metro station. Alternatively, in Milan, you can also pay for the metro, buses, trams, and trolleybuses with a contactless credit or debit card, without any fees, and paying the most convenient fare only. This means you can avoid queues to buy a ticket. Contactless payment is valid on ATM lines only. In the metro: at the departure station, hold your card close to the reader to open the turnstile (it is always the one colored completely orange). When you reach your destination, hold the same card close to the reader to exit the turnstile (again, the one completely orange colored). For further infromation click here.
